Pro-quality skating ice on Lake Nøkkåsvannet

Once the ice was finished, Rolf himself announced on Facebook that this year's ice was ready for testing.

Now Sydalen's answer to Lake Misurina in Cortina (the 1956 Olympic arena) is ready for some skating exercise. No Olympics have been held here, but there was an "international match" between Norway and the Soviet Union in the 1960s. We in Sydalen insisted on being Norway, but Gravermark/Brenna wanted to be that too, so who won remains unclear. It was great fun in any case.

Rolf Pedersen, who originally comes from Sydalen, was on his Christmas holiday when he took the initiative for the volunteer effort.
