There was good spirits and great effort when the volunteer crew gathered over the weekend to give the ball court in Strauman a proper makeover. The result is impossible to hide – the court has now received a fresh, black coat.
Beforehand, the organisers had invited people to the volunteer effort with a fun poster about "blackening," and the turnout clearly paid off.
It's incredible how much got done, and the area is really starting to take shape. We reached the finish line! A huge thank you for a pleasant volunteer weekend on behalf of Strauman IL and the FAU.

Both Strauman IL and the FAU extend a big thank you to everyone who came along and contributed throughout the weekend. It is precisely these kinds of volunteer efforts that allow the village's shared spaces to be kept in good shape and become even more pleasant to use.
With the ball court fully painted and the area taking shape, everything is in place for many good moments of ball games and play in the time ahead.
